The Day Of…
All you need to know about the wedding day timeline
① Band arrives two hours before guests arrive
We’ll need two sources of power near the performance space. Though a stage is preferred, solid ground is no problem even if we’re outside.
③ Cocktail Hour
We don’t charge extra for a cocktail hour as long as it’s in the same location as a reception. We play instrumental background music to give your guests time to catch up and praise how beautiful the bride is.
⑤ First Dance
Whether it’s on the iPod or we play the First Dance, we know how special it is and how to do it right.
⑦ Dancing!
We’ll ease into the setlist with the classics and build as the crowd gets warmed up. We’re there for you and your guests, so we read the crowd and call songs on the fly to make sure the dance floor stays full of happy people. It’s important to strike a balance between upbeat music and slower romantic ballads.
② The Ceremony (optional)
Thirty minutes before your ceremony, our guitarist and bassist perform acoustic wedding music as your guests are seated, as well as the professional and the recessional. Our ceremony repertoire includes classical bridal music and hymns as well as instrumental arrangements of pop including The Beatles and Stevie Wonder. (And anything you request, of course!)
④ Bride and Groom Introduction
We have a lot of experience as MCs, and include it in the price. We find it helps keep the event moving along.
⑥ Dinner… Time to Eat!
During dinner, we like to play soft instrumental music. About halfway through dinner is a good time for the band to break and eat. We won’t leave you in silence though. We’ll play music through the sound system until guests are starting to finish up.
⑧ Closing It Out
We’ll take a break to keep fresh but will leave a playlist going. When we return, we’ll play through the send off. The last song of the evening is one that is likely to be the most memorable, so this one is usually a request.
